Not reliable broke down 2 weeks after warrenty expired I have lately been disappointed with Samsung products and the 145 is another example. I bought the 145 a year ago and played a few disks and recoreded 1 time.

Run, run!!!! Save you money!!!! Do Not Buy!!!! This is an absolute, verified, certified piece of ****. I bought it to record from my other samsung product, a digital recorder (also a piece) and it stinks!

I'm disapointed, don't buy I'm very disapointed with this DVD because: 1. Freezes with my DVD-RAM disks. I know they're better than normal RW.

My opinion of Samsung is shot I chose this model primarily because I loved my previous Samsung product, but I would definitely not recommend this recorder.

Worst electronic product ever purchased This is the single worst electronic product that I have ever purchased. The unit quickly stopped reading most DVDs and was useless fairly early after purchase.

Video transfer easy
Works well for transferring video from Sony DCR-HC96 to
Dual layer DVD + R discs via 1394 cable. Excellent play back
In 4.3 and 16.9.

its a great player and recorder... supports many formats.. record from tv and can edit on my computer.. and able to make a great back up...
