Typical progressive scan DVD players will be able to handle the 480p (progressive) video display format, but the DVD-HD755 also supports 720p and 1080i display resolutions. In addition to DVD movie and CD audio discs, this player is compatible with DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-R/RW, and SVCD disc formats as well as JPEG photo and MP3/WMA audio files burned to disc. Other features include: Easy View function enables picture adjustment to match your TV’s screen size (16:9 or 4:3). Instant Skip function skips playback ahead 10 seconds.     I’ve had the player for over 2 months now, and I truly love it. Great Picture, nice size and easy to operate.

    “Up-conversion” is useless technology
    OK, maybe I’m on a little bit of a “jihad” here against these up-converting DVD players, but bear with me because I do have a valid point.

    No Dolby 5.1/DTS through HDMI
    This piece of *?^%$ does not support Dolby 5.1/DTS through HDMI. The workaround listed by the other reviewer is correct, you use the digital Coax for sound, HDMI for video only…
