Finicky Samsung AR650 The tuner in my 10 year old 35" TV stopped working about two years ago so I started using it as a monitor for my VCR.

The DVD-AR650 has some nice features Overall, this unit is pretty good considering the price. I have mine hooked up with HDMI for the video and I'm going optical out for the audio into my Technics Dolby digital 5.

Worked fine then----- I bought this DVD recorder last Aug. When I got it it worked fine. Then lately I tried using some DVD-RW new disc.

Works for Me After receiving my DVD-AR650, it took me five frustrating nights to get the unit properly hooked up.

atsc locks up, drive is noisy, loses time I have two of these and am looking to replace them both. I use one unit upstairs to receive digital OTA broadcasts.

Absolutely not! When I got this it worked fairly well. 1 month later it worked 50% of the time. Two months later I can't even play a DVD from B;lockbuster in it, nevermind recording.

Junk!
Absolute junk. Worked for 8 movies and now it won't recognize the media (dvd-r's) that worked fine for the first 8 movies.
